I worked on a Cloud Monitoring System (CMS) project - a high-load distributed system. My main objective was migrating the legacy monolithic CMS to Kubernetes microservices architecture and implementing Cassandra DB as the storage layer instead of HDFS.

Main responsibilities during the project:

• Containerized all applications distributed across on-premise ESXi servers using Docker
• Automated Kubernetes environment provisioning in AWS Cloud using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation (IaC)
• Configured and hardened Kubernetes Clusters for production workloads
• Developed Kubernetes manifests from scratch to migrate legacy CMS to microservices architecture
• Created comprehensive GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery from code commit to production
• Adapted Kubernetes deployments for OpenShift and successfully deployed CMS in OpenShift environment
• Developed an Ansible solution for automated provisioning of production-ready Kubernetes clusters on on-premise VMware (ESXi) infrastructure
• Implemented and maintained monitoring stack: Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix
• Integrated security audit tools into CI/CD pipelines using SAST, DAST, and OWASP
• Administered and configured Hadoop ecosystem: YARN, Kafka, Ambari, HDFS for BigData processing
• Integrated Ansible Tower with CI/CD pipelines for orchestration
• Automated deployment and upgrade of Terraform Enterprise FDO using Ansible
• Demonstrated excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
